According to a new report from major Chinese media company Sina, as translated and reported by Tech In Asia, as of the first half of 2015, China is home to 366 million players of mobile games -- more people than the population of the U.S.

It also has 134 million players of PC games, and 305 browser-game players.

The Chinese mobile market is projected to overtake the U.S. mobile market this year, and with numbers like that, it's no surprise. The Tech In Asia report says that mobile revenues are growing 67 percent year-on-year in China.

That explains why companies like Kabam are pivoting toward the Chinese market. It's not easy for Western developers to succeed there, though -- here are some tips from a Gamasutra blogger. For a bigger picture look at the market, don't miss this blog from analyst Lisa Hanson.
