Major social gaming maker Crowdstar has brought its Facebook hit It Girl to Russia's leading social networks, the company said Friday. It Girl, a fashion-focused social game for young girls, will debut on Russia's three leading social networking sites, Odnoklassniki.ru, Vkontakte.ru, and Mail.ru, and will expand to additional networks in the coming weeks. The game will be distributed in partnership with Russia's 101XP, the company revealed. "We found an excellent market and partners in Russia to globalize It Girl," said Crowdstar head of global business development Ian Sherbin in a statement. The move comes as part of a major global expansion powered by $23 million in funding that the company raised in May. Similar plans are in place to expand into the Asian market. The company currently claims 140 employees, nearly double its headcount from the 75 it claimed in January.
