London-based publisher and developer Curve Digital has been acquired by The Catalis Group for an undisclosed fee, bringing the studio under the same roof as fellow UK developer Kuju Entertainment.

The acquisition will see Curve and Kuju join forces to form a new group, dubbed Curve Digital Entertainment, within Catalis.

Curve Digital Entertainment will be helmed by Catalis CEO and Eidos co-founder, Dominic Wheatley, who believes the merger has created "the potential for a major new British games publisher."

"It's good news for the UK indie games community to have a professional publishing partner who can take their titles to the international market," added Wheatley.

Curve is perhaps best known for bringing games such as The Swindle and The Swapper to market, while Kuju, a 'work for hire' developer, has worked on titles for a number of major publishers including Ubisoft, Nintendo, and Activision.
