Newsbrief: As part of Japanese mobile games giant DeNA's expansion into Western territories, the company has announced a partnership with publisher Hasbro to bring mobile games based on the popular Transformers franchise to Europe and the U.S. DeNA has seen success with Western audiences recently, as it localized a number of Japanese titles. In particular, collectible card game Rage of Bahamut held the number one spot on Google Play's top-grossing charts in the U.S. on and off, while ranking high in the charts in other Western markets. This new three-year agreement will see Transformers games released via DeNA's Mobage social gaming platform for both iOS and Android, with the first coming to the U.S. later this year. The company was keen to stress that the games will not launch in Japan.
