Desura mainlines free game curation through Freedom Fridays

Desura, the independents- and mod-friendly digital distribution platform recently acquired by Linden Lab, has announced a new weekly promotion to showcase recently added and popular free games available through its service. Dubbed Freedom Fridays, the new promotion acts to curate the top free games available on the platform, in much the same way as Porpentine's and Terry Cavanagh's Free Indie Games offers up daily selections from around the web. The first Freedom Friday games for showcase are Vega Strike, The Battle for Wesnoth, Sloth Patrol and Festival.
