Most notably, this suggests that the company saw enough success with EA Access -- which company CFO Andrew Wilson once said was explicitly designed to make subscribers feel as if they were getting one over on the company -- to try and roll it out through its Origin game platform on PC.
Like EA Access, Origin Access affords subscribers a discount (10 percent) on Origin purchases, early access to downloadable trials of EA games and access to a "Vault" of older EA PC games that can be downloaded and played at will.
Unlike EA Access, there does not appear to be a $30/year annual subscription option for Origin Access -- subscribers' only option is to pay $5/month.
The service's library currently encompasses 12 games, from Battlefield: Hardline and This War Of Mine to Dragon Age: Origins, and is advertised as something that will expand over time.
