Newsbrief: Electronic Arts has suspended development and support on its Battlefield 3 iOS spinoff Aftershock, after "re-evaluating" the game following numerous negative comments from users. The free-to-play game was originally released on February 7 via the App Store and quickly launched up the top iPad games list, but was then removed on February 22 after suffering from connection problems and control issues. EA originally stated that it was looking to alter the title based on feedback from customers. However, in a statement to The Verge, the company has now revealed that the iOS will not be re-released, and that the game's servers will be shut down on March 31. It said that the development team will be refocusing its resources on other titles.
