Epic Games has revealed that Mike Gamble, formerly a business licensing manager at Crytek, is now working at the Gears of Wars house. Gamble has been Epic's European territory manager since February. Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games, noted that the company has a strong belief in the UK development community. "Our new European Territory Manager, Mike Gamble, is a trusted industry vet, dedicated to helping developers achieve success with our technology," he explained. Before Crytek, Gamble also worked at Sega as a senior producer for the Pico children's console, Microsoft as a European manager for DirectX, and THQ as its head of European product development. Earlier in the week, Epic Games revealed that its Unreal Engine 3 development kit (UDK) has seen over 800,000 installs since its November 2009 launch.
