Epic, Irrational alumnus to helm 2K's newest studio

Former Gears of War and BioShock Infinite developer Rod Fergusson is set to helm 2K Games' newest studio opening in California's Bay Area, to work on "an exciting new project."

Former Gears of War and BioShock Infinite developer Rod Fergusson is set to helm 2K Games' newest studio opening in California's Bay Area. Fergusson spent seven years with Epic Games as executive producer and director of production for the Gears of War franchise, before joining Irrational Games in August of 2012 to oversee completion of BioShock Infinite. After Infinite shipped, Fergusson departed Irrational. His new endeavor as head of 2K Games' Bay Area studio has not yet been described in detail, although Fergusson indicated over Twitter that the new studio would be developing "an exciting new project."
