Newsbrief: Since the launch of the Nintendo Wii U, there have been European restrictions in place such that users cannot access 18+ rated content on the eShop before 11pm, to comply with German youth protection regulation. Today, Nintendo revealed that Germany's Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body, the USK, has deemed Nintendo's Parental Control system to be "of very high quality, offering a remarkable level of protection for children," as spotted by Eurogamer. As such, the previous restrictions have now been removed, and those European Wii U users who have parental controls turned off can freely access mature rated content via the online store.
