Former Microsoft exec Ed Fries, consultant Sheri Rubin join IGDA's Board of Directors

The IGDA has announced two new additions to its Board of Directors, including former Microsoft executive Ed Fries and Design Direct Deliver founder and consultant Sheri Rubin.

Newsbrief: The Independent Game Developers Association has announced the results of its annual Board of Directors election, welcoming former Microsoft executive Ed Fries and Design Direct Deliver founder and consultant Sheri Rubin as the newest members to join the Board's ranks. These candidates were chosen via popular vote among 979 participating IGDA members, and each will serve three-year terms. During that time, they will help the organization advocate important issues that affect the game development community. Alongside these new appointments, four previous Board Members have left their positions. These outgoing members are 1st Playable Productions' Tobi Saulnier, Funzio's Jamil Moledina, Spry Fox's David Edery, and Berfield Productions' Scott Berfield.
