Full Sail University announced the launch of a new online degree program designed for students wishing to write for video games, television, and other entertainment media. The Creative Writing for Entertainment Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is a 32-month online program that prepares participants for a career in transmedia writing. Core concepts addressed in the program include visual storytelling, narrative structures, character development, scriptwriting, and storyboarding elements. "Whether the final delivery channel is a movie theater, game console, television, website or mobile device," reads Full Sail's course description, "students will learn the importance of a well-crafted story with the ability to utilize and master a wide variety of digital tools necessary for successful creative writing professionals in the fast-paced world of the entertainment industry." Courses for the Creative Writing for Entertainment program will begin during Full Sail's spring semester.
