Gone Home co-creator Johnnemann Nordhagen announced today that he's starting Dim Bulb Games, an independent studio based in San Francisco. Nordhagen is a game industry veteran who's spent time at SCEA and 2K Games, where he worked on Bioshock 2 and its Minerva's Den DLC alongside Karla Zimonja and Steve Gaynor. The trio eventually left AAA development to found The Fullbright Company in Portland, Oregon and create the award-winning first-person exploration game Gone Home. "The good thing about making a financially and critically successful game is that it gives you a lot of opportunities to pursue different things - more personal work, or other collaborations with like-minded folk," Nordhagen told Gamasutra when reached for comment via email. "I'm not still working with Fullbright; Dim Bulb is my full-time now." "I learned a lot from Gone Home, I treasure my experience with that game and the Fullbright team, and I hope to take that and forge ahead on new paths."
