Funcom CEO steps down as The Secret World finally launches

As Norwegian developer Funcom launches its long-awaited MMORPG The Secret World, the company's long-standing CEO and president Trond Arne Aas has stepped down and been replaced.

Newsbrief: As Norwegian developer Funcom launches its long-awaited MMORPG The Secret World, the company's long-standing CEO and president Trond Arne Aas has stepped down and been replaced. Aas has been Funcom CEO for nearly 10 years, and moves into a chief strategy officer on the eve of the launch of The Secret World, which has been in development for more than six years. Funcom COO Ole Schreiner has now taken up the CEO role. Schreiner has also been with Funcom for several years, and has worked actively on titles like Anarchy Online and Age of Conan. He will now head up development on the company's recently announced Lego MMO.
