GDC organizers are working hard to program awesome content for this year's big GDC Europe conference in Cologne, Germany, and today they're revealing two more great talks from game industry experts for the August event.
These sessions reflect the rising industry demand for mobile game design best practices, as well as the expertise to study how players enjoy mobile games and use those learnings to design better gameplay.
GDC officials are happy to have Blue Byte programmer Tobias Tost speaking at GDC Europe about contemporary mobile game design in "Assassin's Creed Identity: Create a Benchmark Mobile Game."
Make time for Tost's talk, as he'll be showcasing how his compatriots employed an extensible tool set and flexible engine framework to meet time and resource budget expectations, as well as digging deep into the Identity (pictured) game logic to show how they simulate a lively city on a mobile device.
Elsewhere at GDC Europe, Ninja Metrics CEO Dmitri Williams will take the stage to share data and best practices on mobile game analytics in his own talk, simply titled "Advanced Game Analytics."
Williams aims to dig into modeling and performance marketing for mobile games, walking you through case studies and benchmark data on attribution, correct ROI calculation, moving from regression to machine-learning modeling, and safe use of predictive models. He'll focus on exactly what drives player spending, churn and conversion, so free-to-play mobile game makers will be best-equipped to appreciate his wisdom.
These are just two of the many exciting sessions that will be announced for GDC Europe 2015 in the coming weeks, and you can find more details on all announced talks over on the GDC Europe Schedule Builder.
Early birds can still register for GDC Europe 2015 by July 8th to save 200 euros on an All Access Pass. The conference itself will take place August 3rd and 4th in Cologne, Germany.
GDC Europe 2015 will also continue to offer business and matchmaking opportunities to all attendees with a developer-focused Expo Floor area and networking events throughout the show. For more information, please visit the GDC Europe website.
