If you've been thinking of trying your hand at GameMaker, now's a good time: The folks at Humble Bundle and Yoyo Games have teamed up once again to offer it (and some extras) in a PWYW bundle.
The folks at Humble Bundle and Yoyo Games have teamed up once again to offer it (and some extras) in a pay-what-you-want bundle.
The latest GameMaker Humble Bundle is neat for the same reason last year's GameMaker Humble Bundle was: (relatively) cheap access to dev tools and source code for released games.
In addition to a copy of GameMaker: Pro and (if you're willing to pay extra) modules to make games for HTML5, Android, Windows UWP and iOS, Yoyo Games has also worked with devs to include copies of GameMaker games in the bundle, replete with source code.
That means that devs who want to pull apart games like Cook, Serve Delicious! to see how they work can pay for the chance to do so, potentially sharpening their own game-making skills in the process.
