Newsbrief: Humble Bundle has shed 12 staff, or 20 percent of its workforce, according to a report on Polygon. The site has a statement from co-founder and COO John Graham which confirms the cuts:

"Unfortunately, last week Humble Bundle was forced to let go of some of our employees. Despite strong revenue, and our community surpassing $65 million raised for charity to date, our past hiring was too ambitious and we had to make a hard call last week," Graham told Polygon in an email.

The popular bundling and game-sales service recently expanded to its first console bundle with the Humble Nindie Bundle on the Wii U, and launched a new subscription service called "Humble Monthly."
