Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Game of War made a splash with its Superbowl advert -- and its developer did make the heaviest investment in TV advertising for 2015.
Market research firm iSpot.tv released a report to GamesIndustry.biz that identifies the top 10 biggest spenders in the video game industry -- when it comes to national U.S. television advertisements.
Machine Zone, developer of Game of War, heads the list, at an estimated $92.7 million. Nintendo, however, ran the most ads, with 49 different spots shown over the course of 2015.
According to the report, Machine Zone spent $61 million alone on its Kate Upton-led Game of War ad campaign.
The list is, unsurprisingly, a who's who of the industry's traditional biggest companies (EA, Microsoft, Sony, Activision, Bethesda, and Warner Bros. all appear in the top 10 in addition to Nintendo) or App Store chart leaders (besides Machine Zone, we have King.com and Supercell).
