Japanese game publisher Konami's long-running Pro Evolution Soccer series has passed 70 million units sold worldwide, adding another million sales in the past eight months. Pro Evolution (or Winning Eleven, as it's known in Japan) continues to be one of the company's strongest performing brands, up there with its popular Metal Gear series. Total sales for the Pro Evolution series sat at 69 million back in February. The company reported widened profits for its fiscal Q1 this morning, on the back of its social games and its sports titles, including both Pro Evolution and its baseball franchise, Pro Baseball Spirits.
