Layoffs at Activision's High Moon following Deadpool completion

Following the completion of development on the upcoming Deadpool video game, Activision has laid off a large portion of the staffers at High Moon Studios.

Newsbrief: Following the completion of development on the upcoming Deadpool video game, Activision has laid off a large portion of the staffers at High Moon Studios. The San Diego-based High Moon Studios is best known for its Transformers movie game tie-ins, and has been owned by Activision since 2008. Around 40 employees have been affected by this round of layoffs, according to a statement given to Kotaku. "Activision Publishing consistently works to align its costs with its revenues," reads the statement. "This is an ongoing process. With the completion of development on Deadpool, we are taking a reduction in staff at High Moon Studios to better align our development talent against our slate."
