Newsbrief: A 2011 lawsuit from patent licensing firm Lodsys continues to roll onwards, as the company has now added 10 new mobile game studios to the complaint. Lodsys claims that an in-app upgrades model used by multiple mobile games makes use of a Lodsys patent. Despite the fact that Apple itself is looking to intervene on the lawsuit, Lodsys added another round of developers to the complaint this month. These include Gameloft, BlackFlip Studios, Gamevil, Pocket Gems and The Walt Disney Company, notes Ars Technica. Lodsys is already suing studios like Rovio, EA, Atari, Take-Two and Square Enix. More information can be found in the article on Ars Technica.
