Cross-platform development tool Marmalade is launching a new incentive for developers to bring more content to Windows Phone 8 devices. The promotion provides independent developers with a three-month Marmalade SDK license (or license extension, for existing users), a Windows Phone 8 handset for build testing and deploying, and free access to the Windows Phone Dev Center. To apply, a developer can submit an app made with Marmalade (which has a free trial available for download) to the Windows Phone Store. Apps which meet Marmalade's "quality target" will see their users sent a handset and the three-month license, with full cross-platform deployment support for Windows Phone 8, iOS, Android, BlackBerry 10, Roku and LG Smart TV.
