Microsoft signs promotional deal with China Telecom for Xbox One

30 million broadband subscribers will be offered a chance to purchase the console as part of their internet service packages when it goes on sale in China in September.

Newsbrief: The Xbox One is due to launch in China in September, and the country's largest broadband provider will be putting marketing muscle behind the console. Microsoft has announced that China Telecom's 30 million broadband subscribers will be able to purchase Xbox One via its Smart Home initiative, as part of their broadband subscription packages. The console will also be available at Chinese retail, as part of a previously announced deal with Shanghai-based BesTV. Microsoft has promised more announcements on its plans for China for next week's ChinaJoy conference.
