MMO publisher NCsoft licenses Unreal Engine 4

Guild Wars 2 publisher NCsoft has licensed the Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games, the company announced today, with which it plans to build its upcoming game projects.

Guild Wars 2 publisher NCsoft has licensed the Unreal Engine 4 from Epic Games, the company announced today, with which it plans to build its upcoming game projects. The long-term deal, secured through Epic Games Korea, signifies the first Korean studio to licence Epic's "next generation" tech. NCsoft has previously utilized the Unreal Engine with its 2003 MMO release Lineage II -- a title that still remains as one of Korea's best-selling games today. The company noted that is it yet to reveal the games that will utilize the Unreal Engine 4, although it did stress that there are multiple projects on the way.
