Newsbrief: After cementing a joint venture partnership with Japanese social gaming giant DeNA, Namco Bandai has now also announced a business partnership with DeNA's rival Gree. Namco Bandai and DeNA began working on social games for smartphones together last year, and in March this year rebranded the venture as a means of showing their ongoing commitment to the initiative. However, Namco Bandai is now also co-developing a number of titles with Gree for the Gree Platform, including a Naruto game, a second social game based on the popular Tales RPG series called Tales of Card Evolve, and a Pacman social game. Five social games will be developed between the two companies in total, said Gree (as translated by Serkan Toto), with each translated into English and other languages at some point.
