We're roughly two weeks out from the 2014 Game Developers Conference, and today show organizers are highlighting the updated Career Center, a revamped version of the GDC Career Pavilion which offers brand new presentations and opportunities for face-to-face meetings to help new and seasons developers with their game industry career. The Career Center will take place at a new location in Moscone's North Hall from the Wednesday to the Friday of GDC week, featuring exclusive career development sessions programmed by GDC and top vendors, expanded networking opportunities and the largest, most prestigious list of publisher and studio participation in the industry. That list includes over 40 of the industry's top publishers and studios focused on a wide range of platforms, including console, online, mobile/tablet, free-to-play, indie, casino gaming and the like. Top companies exhibiting include Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, GREE, Riot Games, Warner Bros. and more. Career Center visitors can grab a physical copy of the "Who's Hiring @ GDC" brochure, network with other industry professionals in casual lounge areas and visit the brand new Career Center Theater to take in high-level career development sessions programmed by GDC and selected sponsors. Suggested editorial sessions - which are open to all GDC passholders - include Making the Leap (into game development), a panel of recruiters talking about What Not to Do to Get into Games! and the Ask the Experts: Professional Programmer's Panel featuring folks from Insomniac Games, Double Fine Productions, and more. The Career Center will be located in Moscone North at the bottom of the escalators to the left, along with GDC Play and the GDC Business Center. This special area will be open during the conference's normal operating hours on Wednesday through Friday, March 19-21, and will give attendees the chance to learn about the industry and meet with leading professionals and HR representatives. The GDC Career Center is open to all GDC pass holders, including Expo Pass holders. It's also accessible via a special one-day Student Pass for currently enrolled students over the age of 18 -- available on-site on Friday, March 21 for just $75, and also allowing students into the Game Career Seminar.
