Organizers from IGDA have announced a new developer summit that will run alongside the Casual Connect conference in Seattle next month, with speakers from Valve, Zynga, Take Two and more. The first ever Seattle IGDA Summit will run July 18-19 at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, the same location as Casual Connect. It will host sessions in nine separate tracks, including some oft-overlooked areas of the games industry such as community management and video game journalism. "The goal is for every attendee to leave with actionable new insights from successful thought leaders which can be implemented to improve their development efficiencies," IGDA director Gordon Bellamy said in a statement. Notable speakers scheduled for the conference include EA Sports' Chris Erb, Valve's Jason Holtman, Disney's Alex Seropian and more.
