Korean online game developer and publisher Nexon today announced that it has made "a strategic investment" in Robotoki, the studio founded last year by former Infinity Ward and Call of Duty creative strategist Robert Bowling. Bowling left Infinity Ward last March as a result of wanting to bring more creativity to the video games industry, which he says is "falling severely behind" when it comes to inspiring and supporting up-and-coming talent. Although details of Nexon's investment were not disclosed, the company said that it will be working alongside Bowling and Robotoki to develop multi-screen, cross-platform games, including the upcoming Human Element. Bowling told Gamasutra last year that building a creative team that is completely free from outside influence and pressure is his number one priority. Whether this investment from Nexon will affect this aim remains to be seen.
