Nintendo continues to open new digital storefronts in the West

Nintendo UK has struck a deal with UK-based online game retailer Green Man Gaming to begin selling download codes for Wii U and 3DS games via the GMG storefront.

Nintendo UK has struck a deal with UK-based online game retailer Green Man Gaming to begin selling download codes for Wii U and 3DS games via the GMG storefront.

The deal is in line with Nintendo's recent efforts in the West to push digital distribution of its games beyond its own platform-yoked eShop storefront as it continues to drive up its digital sales figures.

Earlier this month the company launched its own digital game storefront on Amazon in the U.S. that's very similar to the storefront they've maintained on Amazon in Japan for some time. A similar storefront does not appear to exist on the UK version of Amazon.
