Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Nintendo is getting into the business of escaping rooms with a "fully hosted, story-based escape event designed for puzzle fans and fans of the Zelda franchise."
Nintendo fans will remember 2016 as the year the Japanese console maker made its first foray into the mobile market. And now they'll also be able to remember it as the year the company launched its very own 'escape room'.
Dubbed "Defenders of the Triforce," the real-world game will be based on The Legend of Zelda series and is being pitched as a narrative-driven puzzle experience rather than a traditional escape room -- think less stress, more fun.
As such, players are allowed to immerse themselves in the world of Hyrule by donning green tunics and pointy hats. Swords, however, are prohibited.
"It is a fully hosted, story-based escape event designed for puzzle fans and fans of the Zelda franchise," reads an FAQ.
"There will be multiple teams in the event space all participating at the same time, and each team will have their own table to work at when not exploring."
Defenders of the Triforce has been created in partnership with escape room specialist, Scrap, and will be heading to major U.S. cities such as New York, San Francisco, Houston, and Seattle next year.
You can find out more about the event, including ticket prices, locations, and dates, right here.
