Newsbrief: Nintendo UK's head of home console marketing Rob Lowe, an eight-year veteran at the company, will leave the branch to join BBC Worldwide as its new marketing director. Lowe's departure comes as the company prepares to launch its new Wii U system this holiday season, and a month after ten-year Nintendo UK veteran Dawn Paine resigned to take up a marketing vice president position at Universal Pictures. Paine was the marketing director and assistant general manager for Nintendo UK, where she oversaw the launch of consoles like Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS. The company's general manager David Yarnton took over her duties. Lowe also managed Wii's launch, as well as experiential marketing and partnerships . He will step down from the platform holder on June 1, according to a report from Marketing Week. Nintendo UK intends to announce a replacement at a later date.
