Newsbrief: Oculus, the creator of the upcoming Oculus Rift 3D visor, today revealed that every developer who has purchased the Oculus Rift development kit will receive a custom version of Epic Games' Unreal Development Kit. The custom edition will make the engine "Oculus-ready." Additionally, all those developers who have licensed the Unreal Engine 3 full source will receive the Oculus UE3 integration code free of charge, as part of Oculus' entry into Epic's premier UE3 Integrated Partners Program. The first round of Oculus Rift development kits is expected to ship March 29. This added support for the Oculus Rift device comes just days after game development platform Unity revealed that it is offering an extended four-month trial of Unity Pro to all Oculus Rift developers.
