PC game publisher Paradox Interactive has launched its own online game store, allowing users to purchase Paradox games directly from the company. The web-based store is currently in open beta, and has more than 25 of Paradox's most recent titles available for purchase, including titles from the Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis franchises. Each game is offered as a digital download for the Steam platform. To celebrate the launch of the store, there's a 55 percent discount on every title available. Earlier this month, Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester told Gamasutra that an increasing trend favoring open platforms -- plus loads more new hardware options -- could form the new frontier for indie developers.
