Swedish developer and publisher Paradox Interactive today revealed details of three new games, including the next game from Magicka developer Arrowhead Game Studios. Arrowhead's The Showdown Effect is an online multiplayer action game that feature players battling it out in fights to the death, with what the company describes as infinite customization of gameplay. The side-scrolling action game is set in a future Neo Tokyo, and does not yet have a release date. Meanwhile, Dungeonland by Critical Studio is also an online multiplayer game, in which three players journey through a fantasy theme park together, while a fourth player attempts to kill them using various traps and monsters. Again, no release date has yet been provided. Finally, Zeal Game Studio's RED Frontier touts a "new style of competitive RTS gaming" in a sci-fi setting. Players can make use of droids, vehicles and rocket strikes, while eliminated players respawn instantly and re-enter play. The game is due out later this year.
