Perfect World hires new business and communications executive

Online game company Perfect World Entertainment has hired free to play gaming veteran John Young as its new VP of business development and corporate communications.

Newsbrief: Perfect World Entertainment, the U.S. and European division of the Chinese game developer Perfect World, has hired free-to-play game veteran John Young as its new VP of business development and corporate communications. In his new role, Young will help Perfect World forge new partnerships with other developers, as well as guide the company's overall brand identity. Prior to joining Perfect World, Young held a publishing role at Gazillion Entertainment, the studio behind the kid-friendly Marvel Super Hero Squad Online. In addition, he also worked for the free-to-play game company gPotato and served as a financial analyst for Electronic Arts. Currently, Perfect World operates online games such as Blacklight: Retribution, Rusty Hearts, War of the Immortals, and more.
