Newsbrief: Press Play founders Ole Teglbjærg, Rune Dittmer, and Mikkel Thorsted have regrouped to launch new studio, Lightbulb.

Before it was closed alongside Lionhead by Microsoft, Press Play had garnered attention thanks to its work on titles such as Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood, Tentacles: Enter the Mind, and Kalimba

Under their new banner, the team has already started work on Pioneers, a physics-based construction game that'll make its PC debut in 2017.

"We are excited to be back and to embark on this new challenge as Lightbulb games. We're a bunch of battle proven veterans from Press Play, who together cover all the bases needed to create Pioneers," said studio co-founder, Rune Dittmer.

"We have been very lucky to secure the team we have and we look forward to scaling up over the next year."
