Quantic Dream exec joins Hitman developer Io Interactive

The former director of production at Quantic Dream cites Io Interactive's success with the Hitman series as the reason for his job change.

Quantic Dream's director of production Christopher Schmitz, who worked on Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain, has left Paris for Copenhagen, and will now be serving as executive producer for Io Interactive. 

The company announced the news in a press release today. Schmitz, who also is a GDC Europe board member, says in a statement that Io Interactive’s success with the episodic Hitman was what drew him to the company.”

“I think it’s safe to say the industry has been watching closely what IOI has been doing with the latest Hitman game,” Schmitz says. “I’m excited to be a part of this team and it’s a new chapter for me, plus I’m looking forward to getting to know Copenhagen a lot better.”
