Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings Gravity Rush and Lollipop Chainsaw to North America and Europe, while Japan gets Persona 4: The Golden and Akiba's Trip Plus. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending June 16th, 2012. Games Released in the United States: Grasshopper Manufacture (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned) headlines this week's domestic lineup with Lollipop Chainsaw, a third-person action game in which a chainsaw-wielding cheerleader and her decapitated (but still living) boyfriend take on "the zombie rock and roll lords." Also hitting store shelves this week are Codemasters' offroad racer DiRT Showdown, the anticipated PlayStation Vita action-RPG Gravity Rush, and a Wii port for Nintendo's GameCube real-time strategy title Pikmin 2. Downloadable offerings include an upgraded Xbox Live Arcade version of Bulkypix's iOS god sim Babel Rising and a 3DSWare release for American Laser Games' full-motion video shooter Mad Dog McCree. Heroes of Ruin will premiere in North America next month. Other titles hitting store shelves in Japan this week include Yeti's Xbox 360 visual novel Root Double: Before Crime * After Days, Sony's PlayStation Move-enhanced action game Lord of Sorcery, and Acquire's pop group-based PSP adventure title Akiba's Trip Plus.
