Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, and also rounds up weekly digitally-distributed console games in a custom compiled list. This week brings The Gunstringer and White Knight Chronicles II to North America, while Japan gets Dunamis 15 and Dragon Quest Collection. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending September 17th, 2011. Games Released in the United States: Twisted Pixel's Kinect-powered Xbox Live Arcade action game The Gunstringer arrives for the Xbox 360 this week in North America, the latest title from the developer of Splosion Man, The Maw and Comic Jumper. The studio announced The Gunstringer in February this year, positioning the game as one that is more "core gamer"-friendly than typical mass market Kinect fare -- in other words, gamers won't be jumping up and down and flailing their arms to advance through game. Instead, the game is playable from a sitting position, with gamers using their hands to mimic the movements of a puppeteer. North American PlayStation 3 owners can expect to see Level 5's action-RPG White Knight Chronicles II. EA's hockey franchise update NHL 12 also hits store shelves this week, while a remake of Treasure's Sega Saturn shooter Radiant Silvergun is scheduled to debut for Xbox Live Arcade.
