Report: Nintendo set to unveil larger 3DS model

As part of its E3 press conference tomorrow morning, Nintendo will reportedly unveil a new, larger model of its popular 3DS portable game system, much as it did for the original DS.

Ahead of its press conference tomorrow morning, reports have emerged that Nintendo is set to announce a new model for its portable 3DS console. According to reputable Japanese business publication Nikkei (as translated by Andriasang), the new version will offer a larger screen: at 4.3 inches, it is reportedly 1.5 times the screen size of the current 3DS. According to the report, the new model could arrive at retail as early as this summer in North America, Europe and Japan. Gamasutra will be attending the press conference tomorrow morning as part of its live E3 coverage.
