It has come to light this morning that troubled UK games retailer Game Group will not be stocking a number of high-profile games at their various launches, including EA's Mass Effect 3. An internal memo from the company, as reported by Eurogamer, also states that Game will not be stocking any EA games from March onwards, including FIFA Street 3, Tiger Woods 13 and Sims 3 Showtime. The struggling video game retailer was in talks with lenders about its credit issues earlier this month, and managed to reach a new agreement with lenders that allowed it to continue operating into the near future. However, there has been a number of issues over the course of the month with the retailer not stocking games on their launch dates. Today, Game issued a statement saying that it will not be stocking Mass Effect 3 on launch day due to a "supply issue." "We currently have a supply issue with regards to Mass Effect 3, which means that Game and [sister store] Gamestation will not be able to fulfil orders for Mass Effect 3 at this time," it stated. It is also being reported that Game will not be stocking a number of other upcoming titles, including Nintendo's Mario Party 9.
