UPDATED EA has announced a date for Xbox One exclusive TitanFall to March 2014, a move that analysts are calling a response to the delay of Ubisoft's multiplatform Watch Dogs.
Electronic Arts has announced that it is pushing forward the release date of Xbox One console exclusive TitanFall to March 11th 2014, a move that analytics firm Sterne Agee is calling a response to the delay of Ubisoft's multiplatform title Watch Dogs. "EA expects the net effect of the changes to its release schedule to be neutral," says Sterne Agee analysts Arvind Bhatia and Brett Strauser. "[By contrast,] we believe this is being done to take advantage of the open window created by Ubisoft." TitanFall was previously expected to land around June 2014. While it has now moved forward, the release window for The Sims 4 has been pushed back -- to the latter half of 2014. UPDATE: A Respawn representative has contacted Gamasutra stressing that the date does not have anything to do with Watch Dogs, saying: "March 11th has always been our release date, it has not been changed."
