A year after Curse launched its Curse Voice VoIP product and secured a further $16 million, League of Legends developer and publisher Riot Games has invested in the company.

The amount of the investment is undisclosed, and was revealed in a blog post by Curse CEO Hubert Thieblot.

"We've known Riot for a long time, and know that Riot, like us, cares very deeply about the core gamer. I'm excited and confident that this will be good for Curse and for the millions of players we serve via Curse Voice," Thieblot wrote.

The company also offers a variety of other community-related services, but Thieblot's words imply that it's the Voice product that's gained Riot's interest.
