Game Insight, the Russian studio behind social and mobile games such as Resort World and Paradise Island, has decided to expand its business into North America with a new publishing branch in San Francisco. The company hopes that this new division will help the team establish an even stronger foothold in markets outside of Eastern Europe. The U.S. in particular is especially important to Game Insight, as the company has previously said that titles such as Paradise Island generate most of their revenue in that region. In addition to expanding the global reach of its own titles, Game Insight also plans to use its new office to spark new publishing deals with other developers. "We're thrilled to announce our capabilities as an international publishing platform for mobile titles," said Game Insight CEO Alisa Chumachenko. "Our San Francisco office will serve as a central hub for new development opportunities and partnerships throughout North America starting with GDC next month." Game Insight was originally founded in 2009, and has traditionally centered its development around Android, iOS, and browser titles.
