Sandboxr has been around for a few years. The company offers developers the chance to sell 3D-printed toys of their game characters direct to consumers. Now, the startup has teamed up with Amazon and 3D printer manufacturer 3D Systems to launch a storefront to sell via the massive internet store.

You can take a peek at the toys that are currently available at Amazon if you follow that link.

The relationship brings together the online retail expertise of Amazon with Sandboxr's understanding of game-related 3D-printed toys, and 3D Systems' 3D printing technology, which allows for large, full-color figurines. It's not immediately clear if the company will select other video game franchises to launch via Amazon.
