Sony confirms release date for Playstation VR at E3

At E3 today, Sony set a firm release date of October 13th for their VR hardware previously known as Project Morpheus. They also announced VR titles in major franchise like Final Fantasy and Star Wars.

At today's E3 press conference, Sony announced the release date for the Playstation VR. The device, previously known as "Project Morpheus," is due out on Thursday October 13th at a price that was previously confirmed to be $399.

Sony showed off original VR titles like Farpoint. They also unveiled teaser trailers of PSVR content from several high profile franchises: Final Fantasy XV, Resident Evil 7, Star WarsBattlefront, and Rocksteady's Arkham series.

They also revealed an original title, Here They Lie.
