Newsbrief: Sony has discontinued Qore, its digital magazine co-produced with Future Publishing, after releasing issues on PlayStation Network for four years. The publisher launched Qore in 2008 as a magazine aimed at PlayStation console owners, providing exclusive video content (e.g. game previews, interviews), as well as access to game demos, beta builds, and menu themes. It sold subscriptions for Qore, and offered it for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. Though neither Sony or Future Publishing have offered a reason for why they are discontinuing Qore, the latter company has suffered a series of setbacks recently, including losses in the last fiscal year to the tune of £11.8 million ($18.7 million), the resignation of its CEO, and layoffs in January.
