Newsbrief: Sony announced today that it has signed a new Brighton, UK-based start-up to create a prototype for a new video game IP for the company. Wish Studios, founded by former Relentless designers Caspar Field, Tom Bennett and Paul Brooke in July, is aiming to create games for console and mobile platforms, with a focus on family social gaming, augmented reality games and motion control. Although neither company is yet willing to talk details on the prototype, such as which platforms the final product will be aimed at, Field noted that his studio is looking to put passion before monetization.
