The business of playing competitive video games professionally will soon be discussed in a daily satellite radio show that will air live on SiriusXM's Bleacher Report Radio sports channel.

Bleacher Report Radio has been operating as a 24/7 sports network for some time, so the fact that it's adding eSports to its programming schedule reinforces the notion that the appeal of eSports rivals plain old-fashioned sports.

The new show, "IGN eSports Today," will be produced by SiriusXM in partnership with video game enthusiast hub IGN. It's scheduled to air for an hour every weekday morning, during which time it will offer eSports news, interviews, and analysis of matches in games like League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Incidentally, Bleacher Report Radio is run by the Bleacher Report division of Turner Broadcasting. Last year Turner laid plans to bring eSports coverage to cable television (specifically, its TBS channel) with live coverage broadcast from a new, dedicated eSports broadcasting facility.
