The Square Enix Collective platform, through which Crackdown 2 studio Ruffian Games recently pitched its latest video game concept, is now publicly open for any developer to submit their original game ideas. Square Enix revealed the initiative late last year, as a means for allowing game designers to post ideas for games, which can then be judged by the Collective community, made up of players signed up to the platform. If the community decides that an idea is great, Square Enix will then utilize a partnership with crowdfunding website Indiegogo to help get the game idea funded and development underway, and provide distribution services once the game is ready to ship. After running a pilot program with a bunch of select developers, through which one game -- World War Machine by Tuque Games -- was chosen to advance to the crowdfunding stages, Square Enix has now fully launched the platform to any developers who want to join in. Note that, while Square Enix originally said that developers would be able to submit ideas for utilizing older Eidos IP, this feature is not yet in effect, and will be added at a later date.
